You can now use Champfy inside ChatGPT, the same partner-finding platform you know from champfy.com, available as a conversation-native app. We published the app on June 12, 2026; this post catches up on what it does and how to try it.

Why we built this
A lot of players already use ChatGPT to plan practice, compare levels, or figure out where to play. We wanted Champfy to meet you there with real quiz logic and real player search, not a generic guess.
The Champfy ChatGPT app connects to our production tools through a secure connector. That means the skill estimate you get in chat uses the same rubric as the tennis skill quiz on Champfy, and player results come from the same directory as Find Players.
How to open Champfy in ChatGPT
Find the app in ChatGPT
Open Apps from the ChatGPT sidebar. You will see Champfy listed there. Pin it if you want quick access from your sidebar later.
Connect your account
Open the Champfy app page and tap Connect. This links ChatGPT to Champfy so you can run player search when you are signed in.
Start a conversation
In any chat, type @champfy to attach the app, then ask your question. You can also open Champfy from your pinned apps or the app link above.
What you can do
Take the tennis skill quiz in chat
Ask something like: "Help me find my tennis skill level with your quiz."
ChatGPT loads an interactive step-by-step quiz inside the conversation. Answer each question, submit, and get your estimated level with a short rationale, the same flow as on the web, optimized for chat.
No account needed for the quiz or the estimate.
Get your level without the widget
Prefer to answer in plain text? The app can still fetch the canonical quiz questions and score your answers. You get structured results: level code, title, category, confidence, and suggested next steps.
Find players near you
Once you are signed in to Champfy, ask: "Find tennis partners near me." or "How do I find tennis partners?"
The app searches Champfy for matches based on your profile location, sport, and filters. Results include player names (often shortened for privacy), skill levels, and links to their Champfy profiles.
You can also name a city explicitly, for example "Find tennis players in Atlanta.", when you are traveling or scouting a new area.
Note: Player search requires linking your Champfy account through OAuth. If you are not signed in, the app will prompt you to connect before showing results.
Privacy and data
The ChatGPT connector uses read-only tools. It does not change your Champfy profile, delete data, or browse the open web on your behalf.
- Quiz tools process your answer choices to return a level estimate. No account required.
- Player search returns minimized listings (shortened names, profile links, skill levels) when you are authenticated.
- ChatGPT conversation content is governed by OpenAI's policies; Champfy processes only the tool requests needed to fulfill your ask.

Common questions
Do I need a Champfy account to use the ChatGPT app?
Not for the tennis skill quiz or level estimate. You do need a Champfy account (linked via OAuth) to search for players.
Is this the same quiz as on champfy.com?
Yes. The quiz questions, answer choices, and scoring rubric match the Champfy tennis skill quiz.
Can I find pickleball or padel players through ChatGPT?
The ChatGPT app currently focuses on tennis for the skill quiz and player search. On champfy.com, Find Players supports tennis, pickleball, and padel.
Does using ChatGPT change my Champfy profile?
No. The connector tools are read-only. Completing the quiz in chat does not automatically update your Champfy profile. You can save your level when you sign up or edit your public profile on the site.
Where can I manage apps connected to my Champfy account?
Signed-in users can review and revoke third-party access under Settings → Apps.
I prefer the website. Can I still use Champfy normally?
Absolutely. The ChatGPT app is an additional way to reach Champfy tools. Everything on champfy.com works the same as before.
