You can use Champfy without an account to get a free preview by city or postal code: nearby player totals, sport/skill breakdown, and a small anonymized sample (no names, no messaging). To actually find players near you with real profiles, chat, match scheduling, and leagues, you need a free account.
What can I see on Champfy before and after I create a free account?
Before signup, you only see anonymized local stats: nearby player totals, sport/skill mix, and a small sample with approximate distance and level band (no names, photos, or full profiles). After you create a free account and set a location, Find players near you shows real player cards with profile details, and you can chat, schedule matches, and access leagues.
How far from my search does the preview look for players?
The preview uses about a 50-mile radius from the point you select (for example a city center or postal code). All totals and sample rows are based on discoverable Champfy member profiles within that area.
How does Champfy use the city or postal code I search?
Your search is only used to request anonymized aggregate stats for this browsing session while you are logged out; it is not published as your profile location. If you create a free account, you can set a home or play area on your profile so matching, invites, and messages work better.
Why does my area show zero players in the preview?
A zero count usually means there are not enough discoverable Champfy members near that point yet, or that nearby players have not turned on visibility for search. Creating a free account lets you add your own profile and get notified as more players join or become discoverable in your area.
Which sports does the nearby player preview include?
Champfy is built for tennis and pickleball players first, with more racket and court sports planned over time. The preview reflects whichever sports members near you have on their Champfy profiles, so the sport mix can vary by location.
What if I don't know my tennis or pickleball skill level yet?
That is fine. You can use Champfy’s free tennis skill level quiz to get a starting estimate, set your level on your profile for pickleball or other sports, and your level calibrates as you log match results in the app.
Does the find-players preview work outside the United States?
Yes. You can search worldwide wherever the place picker can resolve a city or postal code. Preview numbers still depend on whether Champfy members near that location have discoverable profiles, so newer regions may show lower counts until the community grows.
What do I get after I sign up for a free Champfy account?
